We start walking in the Plaça Nova de Raset, Cervià de Ter neighborhood. On our left there is the large house of Can Santamaria. As a curiosity, the poet Antonio Machado stayed in this house from 23 to 26 January 1939, on his way to exile.
We keep going up a path to get to the veïnat de Dalt. Once we hit asphalt, we have to walk a few meters to the right to take the dirt road that leaves to the left. We pass by the hermitage of Sant Roc. After a descent we find a place often embalmed, the riera de la Cinyana. Just after we find a main road and follow it to the left. After a kilometer, we leave a path breaking to the left that leads to the Bellver farmhouse, and we continue, with a slight descent and between forest, until we find the remains of the mill located next to the river of Cinyana. It begins a wide road climb, and passing by the side of a farm, we have already arrived to Viladasens. If we want to take a walk, we have to turn left in the direction of the village, where the first thing we find will be the cemetery.
To continue the route we have to leave the village of Viladasens behind and start to go down the track that first passes between crops and then makes a stretch in the middle of the forest. Shortly after leaving the forest stretch, we find the Viladasens road that you have to cross to continue the road that comes out just before us and that goes to the right. At the first cross where we can doubt, take the path on the right that goes next to the stream of Cinyana. Soon after we cross it and reach the road that we had already crossed before. We pass it and we go along the track. We leave a farm on our left and soon after, we have to turn right if we do not want to make the whole route again. By this point we will have already passed. We find the hermitage of Sant Roc and therefore, we are again in Raset.
This route, in some section, coincides with the route of the Camino de Santiago. It is worth to make a visit to the village of Cervià de Ter, with the magnificent monastery of Santa Maria, the viewpoint of the Castell and the medieval streets that will transport you in other times.
